Can we do better?

Knowing that the production of 1 ton of Portland clinker results in the emission of 1 ton of CO2, much improvement is feasible to obtain a more sustainable approach of the concrete production and concrete construction industry in general. Many attempts have been made already to modify concrete from a grey towards a green construction material (use of supplementary cementitious materials, use of recycles aggregates,…), however, we believe that more improvement is necessary and possible.

Therefore, inventiveness and creativity are needed and we hope you will come up with great proposals to move towards sustainable concrete construction design (at least better than the one below).
